For the first memorable interview, we interviewed Mr. Shunta Fukui, the representative of IKKA DINING INTERNATIONAL INC., which runs a popular ramen shop in Honolulu.
"Golden Pork" is located along South King Street, Honolulu's main arterial road, away from tourist areas such as Waikiki. For that reason, Mr. Fukui says that from the beginning he worked hard to make the business more acceptable to local residents and locals, rather than focusing on tourists. It seems that this ramen restaurant is steadily increasing sales even with the corona crisis, where the number of tourists has drastically decreased. We asked Mr. Fukui about starting a business in Hawaii.
